Philip Kubiak
Associate
Philip is an associate at Spiteri & Ursulak. Philip joined the firm as an articling student in 2021 and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2022.
Philip has a general practice, in which he assists clients in a wide range of areas including civil litigation, employment, and corporate and commercial work, with an emphasis on private corporation structuring and operations. Philip has experience representing clients in Small Claims Court and various stages of the litigation process in Superior Court. Philip’s commercial experience includes assisting clients in acquisitions, shareholder disputes, securities law, and private share transactions.
Philip attended law school at the University of Alberta. During law school, Philip was a volunteer with Pro-Bono Students Canada assisting with Civil Claims Duty Counsel at the Edmonton Courthouse.
Prior to law school, Philip attended Wilfrid Laurier University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology, and a Master of Arts in Philosophy. During his post-graduate studies, Philip was a teaching assistant and managed two cohorts of undergraduate students.
Philip enjoys spending his time traveling, enjoying the great outdoors, and visiting family and friends. Philip is a fan of the EPL, F1, and UFC. Philip has traveled to South Africa, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. Philip is always open to discussing travel destinations and welcomes new suggestions to add to his travel bucket list.
