gabriela kratchanov

Gabriela Kratchanov joined Spiteri & Ursulak LLP as an Associate in September 2019. Prior to joining our team, Gabriela articled with EY Law LLP in business immigration, where she also represented large corporations and assisted employees of all levels, including C-suite executives, in their applications to obtain Canadian work permits and permanent residency.

Gabriela’s practice covers a wide range of areas including civil litigation, corporate and business law, real estate law as well as wills and estates law. Gabriela is attentive to her client’s business and personal legal needs. She is focused on building strong and trusting relationships with her clients, while fiercely advocating on their behalf.

Gabriela graduated from the University of Ottawa’s, Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and was chosen Valedictorian for the 2014 class. Her knowledge of business and finance, gained through her studies and employment as a Management Consultant, has helped in her dealings with clients and allows her to work efficiently for them. Throughout her career, she has developed strong business acumen and has the ability to manage multiple client needs in an effective manner.

Gabriela received a LLB from the University of Kent and a LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School (York University). During her final year of study, Gabriela took part in the Tax Advocacy Project with Pro Bono Students Canada where she acted as an agent before the Tax Court of Canada. Gabriela was the recipient of the Canadian Law Moot Award in 2016 and awarded Best Mooter for the second year cohort in 2016. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in June 2019.

Gabriela is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association. Outside of the office, Gabriela spends her time exercising at a locally owned gym, downhill skiing, golfing, as well as volunteering with local charities and community outreach activities. As a former classically trained singer, Gabriela also enjoys singing whenever she can.
